Mohawk is looking for seasonal Paramedic Supervisors to join Mohawk's team at the Saratoga Racecourse for the 2024 Racing Season & Belmont Stakes Racing Festival! This is a low call volume, minimal patient care charting role, and generally involves providing the highest level of emergency medical care to the jockey's and NYRA staff in the event of injury. This is a seasonal supervisor position ($31.

50 per hour) capped at less than 40 hours per week. Employees in this role are expected to report to and from a location approximately 3 miles from the Saratoga Racetrack at the beginning and end of every shift. We offer flexible scheduling for 6, 8 & 10 hour shifts.

Benefits include: Sick leave & Employee Assistance Program. Subject to shift availability, work for this position is available Wednesday-Sunday from April to Late November. Daily morning warmups start mid-April and end late November, and race season begins mid-July and ends early September.

Morning warmup shifts (5:30 am - 11:00 am), weekday race-day shifts (11:00 am - 7:00 pm) and weekend race-day shifts (10:30 am - 8:00 pm) are available. Employees in this Supervisor role serve as management representatives for Mohawk Ambulance Service at the Saratoga Race Track, and are expected to undergo supervisory training. In addition to normal Paramedic duties, Supervisors are expected to: Cultivate a culture of acceptance and inclusiveness for all Act as a resource to staff for any issues or questions they may have Serve as a clinical oversight to ensure all staff are delivering a high quality of care Preserve the safety of all staff and patients by enforcing safety procedures Ensure staff arrive on time to their shift, fit for duty, in proper uniform and ready to go Ensure staff understand and follow company policy, especially as it relates to the performance our contract NYRA, and participate in the counseling and progressive discipline process with employees Communicate operational issues to the appropriate OC on duty Minimum Qualifications New York State Certified AEMT-P prior supervisory experience, preferred.

General knowledge of principles of Emergency Medical Services operations and equipment Ability to maintain favorable relations with staff, patients, families, bystanders, company EMS crews, other agency representatives, and members of other clinical teams Ability to communicate effectively Must possess and maintain Class D New York State Driver License or higher or analogous equivalent from another jurisdiction without record of suspension or revocation in any State.
